The role

We are currently looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our growing delivery team. As we continue to grow, this is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and thriving business to manage exciting customer projects. As part of the role you will receive training and support from the project management team and a clear roadmap for your development.

Working alongside our existing delivery squads and project managers you will be responsible for a number of our long-term strategic support clients. You will have excellent customer facing skills and the ability to manage multiple steams of work concurrently. Your role will involve customer facing, reporting on progress each month against a backlog of tickets / stories and managing some discreet user research projects. Your role will also involve working closely with our sales team, scheduling and managing a large workstream for our largest client.

As part of this role you will receive the opportunity to manage larger and more complex streams of work as your skills develop.

In particular, you will have the following key responsibilities:

Project management and delivery

  • Resourcing your projects (working closely with the other Project Managers), managing the project plans, weekly reporting and associated financials (budget, invoice, etc.) alongside risk and issue management and overall quality and control
  • Financial management of your projects, updating the forecast and pipeline and keeping the account managers appraised of progress
  • Managing change, in both scope and impact. Rescheduling timelines where appropriate and managing client expectations.
  • Working on a number of multidiscipline projects concurrently and for a range of customers
  • Ensuring that all your project requirements are met while remaining within the agreed cost structure and time constraints 
  • Creating and maintaining good customer / supplier relationships, including managing expectations, resolving issues and ensuring good communication in both directions
  • Working within, and continuously seeking to improve and refine, the overall business strategy, including methodology, service development and designing mechanisms for conducting business more efficiently
  • Working with project teams in both Cambridge and Macclesfield to deliver successful projects


  • Help to establish growth in our business through building long-lasting customer relationships, contribute to raising our profile and become known by our clients as an expert in your field of interest
  • Contribute to improved systems, processes and commercial approaches that drive efficiency across the business and increase profitability

Skills and experience

  • A minimum 2 years of project management experience
  • Experience of managing multi-disciplinary projects within a digital agency environment
  • Commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and proven track record in fostering collaboration within project teams
  • Ideally, knowledge and experience using tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello
  • Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects and be flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • A real passion for Project Management and to improve your skills

Location and Management

  • Primary location is Macclesfield and client sites as necessary with hybrid working as an option
  • Some overseas travel (mostly to Europe) may also be required and some nights away from home are expected, but on an infrequent basis
  • Reporting directly to the Head of Delivery

Salary: £25-35k depending on experience.
