Jane Bowyer
Jane Bowyer is a designer and creative partner to organisations that lead with purpose and people who know their stuff. Through her studio, A Studio Called Jane, she collaborates with clients across arts, culture, education and innovation to make sense of complexity and translate it creatively. Her clients include Apple, BBC, UN Women, University of Manchester and the NHS. Alongside her studio practice, Jane lectures, mentors and delivers workshops in creative thinking. She’s the curator of Women in Print, the award-winning project she founded in 2016 to celebrate northern women’s stories through design.
Stuck in the middle (with you)
After her well-received 300 Seconds lightning talk, Jane returns to Camp Digital to go deeper on one of the least-talked-about stages of working life: the messy middle.
The point in our career where the hustle of early ambition has softened, but the idea (or myth) of having "made it" still feels out of reach. We're going to sit in the awkward in-between, where burnout quietly builds, where personal definitions of success start to shift, all whilst navigating a world that is changing faster than any of us planned for.
This will be an honest talk from someone navigating it in real time, with you. Drawing on personal experience and wider observations on mid-career creativity, and why the messy middle might be the most important part of the journey.
